Is it ok to have a wedding ceremony after you've already been married a few years?

My husband and I have been married for a few years but since we were both in the military, we did the courthouse thing. Now I kind of want to have a real ceremony because our families haven't even met yet! (They live in different parts of the country) Is it ok to have a ceremony even though we are already married?
