I went to my aquarium on thursday to buy a new oranda. they had one that a lady had 'traded in' cos she didn't want it. he's really sweet, but only has one eye. during his first night he got wedged upside down by the filter tube, i don't know how long he'd been stuck for. i freed him by moving the tube and he just lay on his side on the floor, gasping and breathing really fast for about 5 mins. then he got up and went to the top of the tank and his breathing slowed down to normal. i put melafix in the water as he lost a few scales during his accident and his skin looks fine, not red. He's not hiding now, since yesterday morning he's been swimming around fine, but won't eat, and he hasn't been anywhere near the bottom of the tank. he just swims to and fro, near the top of the tank but doesn't appear stressed? (apart from a few red streaks in his tail fins, but not too bad) he's not gasping for air, he's a couple of inches from the top. i've tried feeding floating flakes, brine shrimp, veggie flakes, anything to tempt him but he just swims straight past it. i don't know if he can see out of his one eye or not. I'm so worried that he's not eating, my other fish aren't bothering him at all. I don't want to move him into a 'hospital tank' for fear of causing him further stress, please advise! He's about 4 1/2 inches long so he's not a young fish. should i just leave him alone and hope he starts feeding? i've kept the tank lights off more than usual, but the light doesn't seem to bother him anyway. i tried hand feeding a bit of watermelon but he just swims straight past my hand. Help please!

You're setting your own standard too high, but only because you want to go about being good in a way your personality wont allow for, so try a different route. There are many roads to being a virtuous person, not just one. Find one that fits with "you" better.

Breakthrough bleeding halfway through Yaz pill pack...?

Hi everyone. I've been on Yaz for 7 months now and experienced breakthrough bleeding for the first 3 months or so. After that, my cycles were essentially normal with no spotting or bleeding between cycles. However, this month (7th), 2 weeks into my new pill pack I have started experiencing dark brown breakthrough bleeding. The bleeding is a little bit heavier than spotting, almost like a normal period. I will either wear a pantyliner or small tampon but the bleeding is not very red in colour. Is this something I should be worried about, or is it just your run-of-the-mill breakthrough bleeding? Also, can something like taking your pill 1 or 2 hours later than normal for a few days also cause this?

try tying him with two lead ropes on two separate strings. have one lead rope slightly shorter than the other one so that when he does pull back he will only break one and will therefore not get away. I know this person who lied about their grandma dying and in the same time period, her brother committed suicide. She told our whole church congregation that this had happened. Two months later I found out that her grandmother and brother never died. Lately, she has sent me and my friend a message apologizing for lying, but lied AGAIN in her email. I have a friend, YES, a friend. When I say friend, I honestly do mean friend. The first guy she loved lived far away and they met twice at a religious camp. I didn't think it was love because they met and hooked up, that was all. The second guy she loved was somebody that she dated for 6 months. When she told me she loved him, it was somewhat more believable. At least she dated him and didn't only hook up. She just came back from a month long trip to a foreign country and came back claiming to be in love with a guy who she met there. Only problem is that he lives in another state so now they are far from one another. To me, this is a very warped idea of love. It seems like people in my generation (early 90's kids) are SO quick to throw out the word "love" just because they bond with someone. They don't even get to know the person that well yet they claim to "love" them. Anyone else feel this way? Thoughts?

Roomates stole home surveillance cameras?!!?

My mom rented a room in her house that she also lives in. These people moved in and have totally violated her home and wont move out! She has given an evitiction notice for brining in pets not agreed to on the contract, so she gave them a notice to remove pets or move. They did not do this and have now been given an eviction notice by the court. An attorney advised my mom to put nanny cams in her house in legal places and outside as well to get proof that they still have animals and to prove that these people are haring and intimidating her. She came home and her cameras were GONE!!! They stole them!!! And i think they called the police. But can't my mom have video surveillance in her own home as long as its not in the bathroom, or in their room? These people are mooching off her and dont even have jobs and the guy already has a criminal record. My mom is having the police come to make a report. She can have cameras on her own personal property, correct?

I've only been in 1 car accident in my life. It was a minor one last year (my fault) where the girl's side mirror fell off and she had a small dent in her door. Come to find out all her repairs cost over $4000 to have made! My car insurance cost has doubled because this is now considered a major accident. What am I supposed to do? Batteries Exploded in a toy?

My mother in law bought my son a BIG Tonka Fire and Rescue truck from a yard sale. The truck is in excellent condition, but then I got to the battery department to change out the batteries, and there were old batteries already in place that I am guessing had exploded. They make some velcro that is incredibly strong by 3M (I think and probably several others now). You can also use superglue, if you want it permanently mounted. If both surfaces are smooth and clean, it will bond anything almost. I have used it in combination with the velcro backing and it works very well. There are also some double sided tapes on the market that are very durable.

It really started about a year ago. she started getting tummy aches. The tummy aches got worse. she would be fine one minute and on the floor screaming in pain the next. These could last for hours. Number 1 you don't need a oil change every week, every 3,000 miles along with a oil filter. It is a good idea to check the oil level once a week and have a couple of extra quarts of oil in the trunk for a spare. Also check the headlights, taillights, turn signals, and checking the tires for proper air pressure with a visual walk around inspection. Have someone check the radiator for fluid levels, brake fluid level, check fan belts for tightness, basic common sense things. They don't have to e done everyday, but be aware of things and think safe......

How do I deal with my friend's brat children?

Most of my friends have children who they have absolutely no control over. I love my friends, but their children are awful little savages. My two sons are well behaved and well balanced, so I must be doing something right. I can't understand why my friends all just let their kids behave badly and never reprimand them whenever they get out of hand. Sometimes the parents make empty threats and their kids just carry on misbehaving knowing that their parents will never follow through or do anything about it. When they come to my house I first wait for the parents to sort their own children out and when I see that they don't, I feel forced to step in, because it is my house and I want some law and order. When I tell their kids off the parents look shocked and embarred or take offense and try to defend their kids behavior and their kids show their anger towards me by either sulking or ignoring me. How on earth do I deal with this, without making myself unpopular. I don't see why I should stop seeing my friends, just because their kids won't behave, that would be giving in to their children and letting them have their own way, and they are spoiled and pampered enough already. Why don't parents deal with their children these days, why are they so afraid to discipline their brats? My friend's refuse to accept my advice or suggestions about parenting, instead they change the subject or defend their children s behavior or take offense.

So i believe it's a strict liability crime and procedure depends on state to state. But as i was watching the TV show Lie to me, one of the episodes got me thinking of a scenario. Lets say a 22 year old male is out with his friends at a bar. He's drinking having a good time and a girl approaches him, starts flirting and so on. They end up getting drunk and having . The girl is 16 closely approaching 17. Would the guy have fault. Did he have the guilty mind to on purpose have with a minor. The act is obviously completed. but i don't understand how this can so easily be a strict liability crime. There has to be an exception for girls who go seek out a fake id go into a club with the purpose of hooking up with a male. Equally important , it's not like the male went to a middle school/ freshman HS to seek out 16 year olds. In all honesty, the only problem is that i think any normal joe, even at the age of 22 could tell that a girl is 15, 13, 12. Her converstations would be a bit off and her features would like young. But there are 16 year olds that honestly look 18. but how could a guy tell. some 18 year olds are very imature, the same goes for women. if a kid is turning 17 and shes 22, how could she tell, she's at a bar isn't it the bouncers dutty to make sure that a 16 year old is gettin in with a fake id. I remember i had a friend that at 16 had facail hair and easily looked 18. idk, rapist and predators should be locked up and punished but when the person is clearly doing no wrong how can they still be charged even if the facts are on their side. Yes , i've read cases that lower the crime but you will still be labeled as someone who has ually ulted a minor.

I see it ALLLLL the time. Christians claiming "God loves all his creations but if you don't obey him he must punish you. It's the same as a parent punishing a child for misbehaving". Can a torque converter be knocking kinda loud from lack of transmission fluid?

i just got the transmission back in my truck it's an auto and i don't have enough transmission fluid in it yet. it takes like 7 quarts and it only has 4 in it rite now(im not driving it until i get more) but it has been knockin since i got it back together. while it was apart, the water froze in the hoses but i checked and everything looked ok when i got it defrosted and drained. could that cause something to break and knock? my stepdad thinks its either a broken rod(cuz thats wat it sounds like) or no fluid in the torque converter( i really hope thats wat it is cuz that was a pain in the *** to take apart and put back together)I checked everything for leakin water while it was running and there was none. there was no water in the oil either. thanks

Definitely not Isabella....its a nice name but there is just far too many babies called Isabella at the moment ...! Blair is good, quite unique , I like names that are simple but unique.....my sister is called Sally and she really resents my mum for giving her a boring name. Her daughter is called Baillie. At the moment I'm living with my mum and my sister and my dad is living in China, because hes teaching english but now he doesn't want to come back and hes making it seem like it is our fault. I'm actually really close to my dad but because we hardly ever speak now I'm finding it really hard to talk to him. At the moment my mum feels really down and they just don't talk hardly and I'm getting really bad tension because it stresses me out so much. I think about it all the time and life just doesn't seem normal and I can't sleep properly. I find just getting through the day an effort because I know my dad doesn't want to be with us anymore, although I know he does but hes just escaping. I just don't know how to feel anymore and I just start to think I'm going crazy..I know this sounds stupid but this has been going on for years now that I just can't take it anymore but I don't know what to do....It's also lead on to me being obsessed with my weight...consequently I don't eat properly and my back is just so tense with anxiety.

Motorbike under installment payment,its terms and condition in the philippines?

My friend`s father had a motorbike under installment plan for 3 yrs. He had this since january 2008, had paid initial deposit and `been paying monthly dues every month ( jan-april 08 ). Unfortunately he died at the later part of april. Somebody says the obligation to pay his balances terminates when he died and the motorbike should be awarded to his family free of any obligation or whatever. My friend failed to see any relating papers to his father`s doents so she asked the company who in returned said it was untrue, and that the truth is once the " owner died, his co- owner or his family should continue paying up to the last centavo or until the last monthly due. But they failed to show a copy of the company`s term and conditions under the installment category saying they " never kept such " and they`re not even sure if the main office have any ". Anybody with familiar case like this ? My friend had already paid 2 more monthly dues.Which is correct, the somebody or the company?

ok, so my bf and I live in a part of California that we can not afford (even a studio) and no one wants to rent rooms which are slightly cheaper to couples. Most studios don't want couples either. My bf's job isn't paying him correctly, and he works full time on minimum wadge, and it is WAY too expensive for him to get to work because of gas. I have been TRYING ti get jobs (No joke have applied EVERYWHERE I can think of anywhere nearby) So we can't afford to live here, and we can't afford to move out because we need to make sure one of us has a job somewhere we move! He's been applying for jobs (his specialty is in hotels so we could go anywhere) all over but we can't find anything! We are temporarily living with my parents but their house is for ale, and obviously we don't want to be living with them. What can we do? What would YOU do? We don't really know our options we are so stressed!
