What could this star/planet be in the sky this morning?

It's Venus. This time of the year, it serves as our "morning star". Later in 2011, it will have orbitted around to the other side of the Sun and get high enough in the evening sky to be our "evening star" again. This cycle repeats about every 263 days, Venus' synodic period, not to be confused with its true orbital period of 225 days.
