In the scripture Isaiah 42:6?

Covenant just means promise. God promised to protect the chosen people of Judah so that they could demonstrate (be the light) to the gentile nations that they had the one true God. Christianity took this concept of Judah being the light of the world and replace it with Jesus being the light of the world, which is incorrect.
